Section 1 - Character Information
----------------------------------
Name: Xod
Class: Priest
Armory Profile: Xod of Burning Blade (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Burning+Blade&cn=Xod) You can click these-- I just edited my post. :)
Main Spec: Discipline, Raid Mitigation spec'd with Regenerative/mana-efficient talents. (http://www.wowhead.com/talent#bVcbuuhVRIsffRtbe0c:VAbczM)
Off Spec: Shadow PvP spec. (Still has Discipline PvP glyphs in case I do arenas.) (http://www.wowhead.com/talent#bxcMhZZGxfiRfk0fafkAo:IhiczV)
Professions & Levels:
1- Enchanting, 450 with most patterns.
2- Jewelcrafting, 450.
1. Reason(s) for leaving current guild:
I'm unable to commit the amount of time required to be a part of their raid team.
2. Why do you want to join TFB:
I'd like to join TFB because the raid schedule is very light, yet progression isn't an issue. Things seem to be accomplished quickly and efficiently rather than strung out across several days with a lot of down time in between.
3. Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor?:
Nope. If something does become offensive to me, I just ignore it and stop joking around, or if it continues, I handle it calmly through PMs. Gotta handle shit like an adult.
4. Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies?:
No... >_> <_<
5. Do you have Ventrilo?:
Yes
6. Do you have a Mic?:
Yes
7. What is your internet connection type?:
FIOS
8. How reliable is your internet connection on a scale of 1 to 5?:
5
9. Do you have any alts worth mentioning?:
I have a fairly geared Fury/Prot warrior that I may decide to transfer over at a later time.
Achievements:
How many achievement points do you have?: 7700
What achievement are you the most proud of and why?: I'm proud of my Bane of the Fallen King achievement the most. Despite being a 10 player achievement, it took an incredible amount of work and perseverance from the people that achieved it. Heroic Lich King is one of the hardest, if not the hardest boss in game at the moment (taking progression into account), and I feel that it was one of those achievements you really had to earn with hard work and practice.
Our Raid Schedule:
Wednesday: 7:00 - 11:00+
Monday: 7:00 - 11:00+
(10Mans are Optional and schedule around these 2 dates)
What is the absolute Latest you can raid until, we often will go 30min to 1hr later than scheduled depending on progress and content left? 2:00am Server Time on Weekdays, and 5:00am on Weekends. I don't sleep much. :)
Availability to Raid (List available START to END time that you can make)
Monday: 6:30pm - 2:00am
Tuesday: 6:30pm - 2:00am
Wednesday: 6:30pm - 2:00am
Thursday: 6:30pm - 2:00am
Friday: 6:30pm - 2:00am
Saturday: 6:30pm - 5:00am
Sunday: 6:30pm - 5:00am
Section 3a: Misc.
---------------------
1. If the raid leader was to wrongfully chew you out in the middle of a raid, how would you react? (be honest and explain!)
If it were something that was very crucial to the raid's success (such as correctly shielding the raid on Heroic Lich King), and I knew I did it properly, I would ask to speak to them privately in vent between the next pull and explain to them why I did it correctly, whatever it may be. If they don't accept that, I'll pull up the logs and prove it after the raid so that my name is clear, and that I'm doing my job.
If it were minor, I'd talk to them about it after raid, or perhaps not at all. People make mistakes, both raiders and leaders. If it's not going to affect anything, it's not worth mentioning. Raid leaders usually have quite a lot to deal with, and pride isn't something worth bothering someone over.
2. If you were asked to sit out for a raid that you signed up for well in advance, how would you react? (be honest and explain!)
I would be fine with it, for the most part. If it were a raid where we both needed something, I'd ask why I had been sat, and I would also ask if I would be allowed to come in for someone that didn't need anything from that raid. If that all fails, I'd ask what I can do as an alternative.
Section 3b: Misc.
---------------------
1. If you were in charge of TFB, what would you make the guild ranks called (Leader, Officers, Raiders, Casuals)?
Unless you're guildmaster:
Shit Shoveller.
2. What two web sites do you visit the most for WoW information?
Elitist Jerks
Shadowpriest.com
The World of Warcraft official forums
MMO Champion, and their forums
WoWhead.com's forums.
(Sorry, that's more than two.)
3. If you lost both your hands in an accident and the doctors said, 'Well, we can leave them as stumps or we could attach the hands of a monkey', what would you do?
Who would want to look like a freak? Just keep the stumps, and bind every key and mouse button to Power Word Shield, and steer your character with a joystick using your junk. (You need to master your joystick. ;D)
4. Your best friend of the opposite sex is dying of a degenerative bone disease. One day he/she tells you it's their dying wish to have sex with you. You agree but after a few minutes he/she coughs, sputters and dies. Do you finish?
No, I do not finish. I was faking the whole time; she was just bad.
5. Why are you actively searching a new guild? What expectations do you have?
I'm looking for a new guild because I simply don't have the time to raid 5 nights a week at the moment. I also want to find a guild where I can meet some chill people, socialize, have a good time, and essentially be able to enjoy myself in progression raids.
My expectations are fairly simple; I'm looking for a guild that I essentially can fit into. I want to find a niche in a guild where both parties feel comfortable with eachother. That being said, I normally don't get along too well with downies. Basically, I don't care if people make mistakes, so long as they're aware of their mistakes and that they're actively searching to improve and prevent those mistakes from reoccuring. Progression comes second nature to that.
Besides, if people suck you can just carry them on the back of a feral druid or use Levitate to carry them.
6. How long have you been playing WoW and how many guilds have you been a member of?
I've been playing World of Warcraft for five years, 6 months. I've been an active part of nearly 15 different guilds over the years. My longest tenure in one guild was in Lunaris on Garona, where I was a Warrior class leader for nearly two years. (Yes I see the question below this one; just thought I'd explain.)
7. What is your longest tenure in any one guild?
> 1 Year
7b. Was this a raiding guild?
Yes
8. Do you have any suggestions for questions that can be added to this section (bonus points given for non WoW related questions)?
Yes, I do.
Q: Scrubby applicant! What is best in life?
A: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.
