1. Previous Guild(s):
- None on Burning Blade, I was previously members of <Final Union> and <Machin Shin> for recognizeable raiding guilds on my previous server, “Zul’jin”. (Machin Shin no longer exists, internal split into <Affinity>)
2. Reason(s) for leaving:
- Final Union seemed to take the game a bit too seriously, I play this game pretty damn hardcore but I still know how to enjoy it instead of make it my job. Getting your first Gruul kill on impossible mode(2.1 pre-nerf) and having vent go “Good job, we can sleep now. Bye.” Is just not very encouraging… Machin Shin fell apart, and so that’s when I quit the game (explained later).
3. Why do you want to join TFB?
Because of a very special someone… *wink @ Pinacle*. J/p, but yeah I talked to Charlie (Pinacle) on AIM the other day and told him how I was returning to the game and he mentioned your need for an enhancement shaman (a class I was very interested in playing) so I decided to reroll and level my ass up to get into your attunement raids and hopefully join the crew.
4. Are you aware that TFB is is not out to 'beat' anyone(except horde)?
-This question troubles me… does that mean you never do arenas? Cuz in Arenas you can face the same faction… and who doesn’t do arenas?!?!? *raises eyebrow*
5. Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor?
Yes, I got the word “Christmas” banned from every school in the state of New Hampshire because I’m an angry Jew and think the world is out to get me. (No.)
6. Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies?
-Friends? Just Pinacle… Enemies? I just rolled here, but it’s very possible someone out there hates me (Envy is a hard thing for some to coop with :-P )
8. Do you have Ventrilo and a Mic?
-Both and I am rather fond of using them (within reason… of course).

Monday: 7pm-11pm EST
Tuesday: 7pm-11pm EST
Thursday: 7pm-11pm EST
Sunday: 7pm-11pm EST
Occasionally, we will go late. But we will not go past 11:30.

Friday: 3 (1/2 of the time I will be on cuz a lot of my friends play so we go into uber-nerd mode and LAN at eachothers houses haha.)
Saturday: 3 (Same situation as Friday)

-I’d do my best to hold my tongue and wait for a later time to explain what I feel happened, but if he disagrees still I will just let it go because there’s no real point in crying over spilled milk.

2. If you were asked to sit out for a raid that you signed up for well in advance, how would you react? (be honest and explain!)
- I don’t really mind sitting raids, it gives me the time I need to catch up on my chronic masturbation.

-Iceland has computers? I’m betting on Turkey.

-I’d tell them to give me the hands of a monkey, but do the same for my feet and attach a 6-foot tail to my ass, hopefully providing me the tools I need to accurately throw my feces at people from a treetop when I’m upset.

4. Your best friend of the opposite sex is dying of a degenerative bone disease. One day he/she tells you it's their dying wish to have sex with you. You agree but after a few minutes he/she coughs, sputters and dies. Do you finish?
-Depends where I live. If I’m in a high crime rate area, of course not, they’ll check for semen and think I killed the bitch… but If I’m in the Boondocks… Serious contemplation would be induced.

5. Do you believe that "Mad Max", "Waterworld", "Terminator 2" and other such films represent an accurate portrayal of what a post-apocalyptic world might be like?
-Terminator 2 already is in the present, Arnold Schwarzenegger already exists – didn’t you know that?

6. What is your idea of the perfect murder? Explain in detail if you wish.
-Any murder that involves Mrs. Fugere (My physics teacher) and radioactive deformation.

7. Do you have any suggestions for questions that can be added to this section?
-Do you love your mother?
-Does she own your house?
-Are you in a basement?
-If yes to all three, are you committing suicide soon? (Necessary to know, because we can’t have a raider disappear in the middle of an important progression week…)



Is there anything else you want to say?
-Well, I’m sure a few of my responses raised a few questions about myself and my status within this game, so I might as well go through and explain my entire situation in this particular area of my Application.

I started playing this game the X-mas after it came out so I’ve been playing for about 3 years now and I’ve raided for most of that time. My first 6 months were spent being a nub and envying those at level 60 that had 1337 gear. Then I raided hardcore for pretty much the rest of that time (through MC progression, BWL progession, AQ40 to C’thun and Naxx to Patchwerk pre-BC). My only major feat was tanking the Emperor Twins for a guild on my Warlock that was only 2 months of playing at 60, otherwise I guess topping DPS charts was fun too :-). Post-BC I joined <Final Union> and got their first Gruul and Magtheridon kills with them, then left for reasons previously stated and then ended up joining <Machin Shin> until their collapse. At that point I quit the game (May, 2007) until this past November. I got my Warlock some of the Gladiator gear now that it only costed honor and found myself talking to Charlie again. I got the offer to come to this server and try to join TFB once I get to 70, and so I took the chance and came along. I started this character on Monday, December 17th, 2007, and am now attempting to join your guild ^_^.

I realize that I am totally undergeared, under-rep’d, under-everything’d, but as you can see from how fast I leveled, I’m dedicated and I will be dedicated to TFB if I am taken under your wing. I don’t at all expect to be a main raider for you right away, for obvious reasons, but I would really love the chance to make my way up there and hopefully you can see beyond some of the less-enticing aspects of my character itself and look more into the player behind him :)

I played WC3 with Devilize before WoW came out so I have known him for a while (rockin them Techies in some Dota). He is a pretty dedicated guy (as you can see from how quickly he leveled) and if I had my stupid computer working or my new one he would be attuned to everything. But even as I type this hes looking for groups for his attunements. I know a lot of people have met him already and for those of you that haven't I think we should give him a shot.

Just posting to say that I updated my factions and my attunement quest status, I am now ready for SSC/TK attunement runs to get into Hyjal/BT and my factions have significantly increased.

My gear has also been rapidly upgrading, whether or not Armory has updated... well... nothing I can do about Blizzard's shitty character profiling.

Your raid experience seems great. The fact that you were in a guild that killed Gruul pre 2.1 is impressive. Since you have AQ 40 and Naxx experience, you must have a good idea of how to be responsible to your raid.

So, my only questions would be is how familiar are you with Shaman mechanics? Do you read up on bosses before we get to them? What items would you bring to the raid? If you had unlimited access to gear up to and including Gorefiend in BT, what armor and weapons would you go for?

Well, to be honest Eynon, this is my first 70 Shaman I have played, I healed with one at 60 through Molten Core in some nub guild before I went to alliance on Zul'jin (Summer '06) - so I won't lie and say OMG IVE PLAYED SHAM MY WHOLE LIFEZ KKTHX U R TRUST MAI SKEELZ

However, I will say that I've read basically every enhancement shaman strategy guide/tips/tricks/helpful hints etc. that I could find, while also maintaining a raid-like integrity while I do my 5-mans in order to practice the scenarios I would be most likely facing.

I think I know a rather good amount about shaman mechanics at the moment, but there is always room for improvement so I won't dare say I'm perfect. Everyone has their own playstyles and their own kinks to work out, so I guess I'm just doing the same.

-Heh... You don't understand how much I read about this game, and reading about bosses is one of the most entertaining reads for me so I can ASSURE you that I have read the boss strategy, fight, mechanics, etc. - LONG before we get there.

Armor? I'm not sure if I would go for tier sets or not, maybe a little for the nostalgia of the items, however I've come to notice that there are significant problems with the tier sets for a shaman. Forgive me if i'm wrong here, but it seems to me like Mana is not typically a problem for a well-played shaman, so I don't think I'd like to use the iLevel points into Mp5/intellect, and I would much rather have haste rating or AP/STr/Crit/Agi (someone calculated that 1 AP is worth more DPS than 1 intellect somewhere, I think Elitest Jerks, and I don't doubt that at all). I think pre-BT/Hyjal I would gear toward higher AGI/Strength because of it being affected by BoK, however if an item has significantly higher crit rating I would rather the crit rating over agi (agi costs more iLevel points than crit rating for the same amount of crit because of its increases in armor and dodge, both of which I don't need at all) I would probably use that item even though I don't get the BoK buff.

Bt/Hyjal farm I would go heavily toward's haste rating, and here is why. Windfury has a 3 second "hidden" cooldown, so a shaman's goal is to constantly keep windfury on that cooldown, now, if a weapon swings at 2.6+ (which both weapons should), if they both miss the windfury proc then there is a whole nother 2.6 seconds of waiting for a POSSIBLE windfury. The goal of haste rating is to have faster weapons allowing for more swings and chances to proc very high damage windfuries (high damage because i didn't sacrifice my weapon speed for more procs, i only sped up my very slow weapons via haste rating). I would obviously maintain high amounts of the usual stats but I'd definitely try to get a decent amount of haste rating into my gear. Also, beyond windfury, white damage is a lot of dps from shaman so haste rating increases that damage by significant amounts

[[Side note]] - I don't like how heavily Skyshatter etc. goes into hit rating as well (I prefer the enhancement/resto spec for the 3% hit rating and 30 yard totems over the elemental spec) because I will already have extremely high % hit buffs from my talents alone, 80 hit rating on 5 of my 18 pieces of gear alone is just way too much, and it leaves no room for forgiving other items for having that extra unnecessary hit rating. I don't wanna have to turn down a sexy upgrade because my tier 6 is already hogging all my (as I call it) "available Hit Rating space".

For weapons? 2.6 second fist, mace, axe... not much else to say. there are so damn many of them out there that I will spare you my "order of importance" list, and just say that the pickings are so wide that it wont be hard to figure this out.


Editing in: Items to raid? I would bring all the necessary flasks (obviously) and probably small buffs like stam food if we're in really harsh lands, plenty of ankhs, mana/health pots, you know... basics? Lol, Sorry I don't go too indepth here but there's not a lot to say beyond potions :-X Maybe a second set (if I have it haha) of gear incase any pieces break, weapons break mid-fight, etc. I would bring my totems too.... maybe.... (I've actually seen a shaman forget his air totem O.o)

Heh, more than I expected. Nice job. You mentioned you read the EJ forums, so thats a huge A+ in my book. You got the BoK bonus with actual stats over ratings, the 3 second WF cooldown, you actually like +hit (not the typical noob "zomg iz gots attack powers!"), you know the ideal weapon speed etc....

You pretty much nailed it man. Nice work. Interested to see what you can do. :)
