There is just too much turmoil. Too many people that don’t get along. Stress is healthy, but being in MH had become distressing, and that’s not why I play the game. A month ago I was on the verge of leaving, but decided to stick it out. Well… it just hasn’t worked out. Right now I just want to have fun playing the game.

3. Why do you want to join TFB?

I think I have similar goals to TFB. I am a friend of Qaad’s and he has had a lot of positive things to say about how the guild is organized, and how the raids are run. He and I think the same on many things regarding this game, and particularly about raiding, so I trust his opinions.

4. Are you aware that TFB is not out to 'beat' anyone(except horde)?

I do. That’s one thing I really like. You’re not cocky about where you are in the game. You just get shit done.

5. Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor?

Lol, no.

6. Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies?

As mentioned, I’m friends with Qaad. No enemies that I know of lol.

8. Do you have Ventrilo and a Mic?

Yes sir.

I understand that this deviates from your form. But I would like to explain. I can raid 3 days a week. Any 3 days, but only 3 days. Of those three days I will be 100%. I leave it to the leadership in TFB to decide where they would need me the most. I assume it will look something like:

Monday: 5
Tuesday: 2
Wednesday: 2
Thursday: 5
Friday: 2
Saturday: 2
Sunday: 5

But as I said, I can move that around as the needs of the guild change.

9. What is your internet connection type? (DSL, Cable, Hamster + Wheel, etc.)

I have DSL, which I recently changed to from a terrible cable ISP. It has been running well and I average under 200ms.

Persist is my hunter. I’ve dropped about 10Kg on him getting him 375 LW, an Epic flying mount, and all the best crafted gear. He’s got almost 1700 AP and 26.5% crit with a 41/20/0 BM spec.

1. If Astraeus (our raid leader) was to wrongfully chew you out in the middle of a raid, how would you react? (be honest)

Honestly? I’d ask Qaad if it were appropriate for me to respectfully explain my position. After establishing myself in the guild, I would be more vocal about what I did and why. But as an app, I would most likely take it to tells to explain what I was doing.

If I felt that was not being received well… I’d just stfu and do what I’m told.

2. If you were asked to sit out for a raid that you signed up for well in advance, how would you react?

That’s the way raiding is. There is a wealth of DPS classes and never enough healers. Both my main and alt are DPS classes, so I’d understand.

3. Are you familiar with the "Zero-Sum" DKP system of loot distribution?

Yes.

4. What do you think of Enst's PvP movies?

Flaptabulous.

5. Do you feel Greengoo is an arrogant bastard?

Absolutely.

6. Do you believe that "Mad Max", "Waterworld", "Terminator 2" and other such films represent an accurate portrayal of what a post-apacolyptic world might be like?

No. I believe it’s closer to 1984 :P.

I hope that my ties to MH don’t effect my application in a negative light. I’m not expecting a raid spot. All I’m asking for is a chance to prove myself. And I’ll wait as long as it takes to get that chance.

Also, I would also be happy to app on my hunter instead of my mage. But my mage I think is a greater asset.

Well I'll will be returning full force in 2 weeks when school returns /roar. A good number of mages collecting in the guild atm, all of these mages seem to be coming out of the closet as of late. =)

Just any FYI on me for this week.

I am currently saved to both SSC and the Eye for the week. I am not saved to Kara. Persist is saved only to the Eye and Kara. Tomorrow morning I will be leaving for a road trip that will not bring me back to my apartment until Sunday afternoon at the earliest.

Further more, for my available times, the 2's don't mean I'm never online on those days, but that I will not be able to commit to raiding with any consistency.

But I will be constantly checking this thread to answer any question anyone might have for me.

One quick note on my hunter. He is not currently 100% raid specced. There are a few points I would move around. But that seems to be a moot point as there is no longer a need for hunters.

If anyone has any questions, but feel free to fire away.

Yeah, that's what I was told when I approached people in TFB about apping. Just remember, I'm flexible. I can raid any three days.

All I can say is that my position in MH was a lot different than the position I would have in TFB. In the height of the "spec wars" as I like to call them, when I got along with the fewest members in MH, I was promoted....

I was to some extent I think expected to harp on people. And the only reason I'm to this day not still in MH /o chat is because I stepped down, and later left the guild.

I'm sure I could guess who has said negative things about me, and I could guess what they said. But I'm not really worried out it. I'm just here to have fun, do some Pewpew.


But I have to say I love the way TFB runs raids. I was online for the Gruul/Void raid in Vent.

Tonight I'm going to spend some time with my GF as I'm saved to everything anyway. But I look forward to at the very least waiting outside the instance on Thursday :D. I'll be online here and there before that.

The biggest lesson I learned from the arguing with people about specs is that 99% of the time if someone is under preforming.. it usually has nothing to do with their spec :P.

Either way, grilling people about shit like that is the last thing I want to do at this point or at any time in the future. You guys just killed Vashj... I know what a bitch that fight its, I figure you have your act together.

As for the last few posts, the way I see it, is TFB runs our raids (like you said) a little more relaxed than I think other guilds do. What they might consider assholeish, we might consider normal.

To my knowledge, nobody in TFB has (had) a problem with you, and I don't even know you. I'm not going to take past guild drama and he said she said bull shit into account until you bring it to our guild. In my eyes, everyone starts here with a clean slate unless you've done something really, really bad in the past.



Oh, and Yield, you will never, ever be asked to wait outside an instance portal. That's a complete waste of time, and absolutly no fun i'd imagine. Do BG's, play an alt, do dailys, whatever. Just don't wait outside. Thats what summons are for. :)

Yield has rubbed me the wrong way more than once, but that's just his personality and I wouldn't hold it against him because he's a pretty good guy. He knows his class and from what I've seen and heard of him he does very good dps.

As far as old guild drama bullshit being held against anybody, all I have to say is look how many Ex-Tyranny we currently house or housed in the past. Anybody who was around before Tyranny broke up knows how much they and TFB went back and forth. So, Yield, I'd say you probably don't have to worry much about old drama affecting your app.

Ladonai, no offense, we do value your opinion. However, please use other channels. This forum is for officers and longstanding guild members to post their feelings about applications, and we don't condone everyone.

Please send a private message to an officer if you'd like to comment on an incoming app, that way we keep the forums a little clearer.

Note, this goes for everyone, not just Ladonai. We have had several personal opinions from those outside the guild on recent apps and be assured we do discus and take them into account in officer and other private venues.

I'll be deleting the posts, but just keep that in mind guys.

You can have as many alts in the guild as you'd like. Just make sure to put "Yield's alt" or something in your note. Ast does "spring cleaning" every now and then.
